How to Save Favorite Channels for Live TV in the JellyFin App

Saving your favorite channels in the JellyFin app makes it easy to access the channels you watch most frequently. Follow these steps based on the device you are using:

For Mobile Devices (iOS and Android):

1. Open the JellyFin App on your iPhone, iPad, or Android device.
2. Log in using the username and password provided to you.
3. Navigate to Live TV: Tap on the "Live TV" or "Channels" section from the main menu.
4. Browse Channels: Scroll through the list of available channels.
5. Add to Favorites:
   • Tap on a channel to view more details.
   • Look for a "Favorite" or heart icon (♥) on the channel detail screen.
   • Tap the heart icon (♥) to mark the channel as a favorite. The icon will change to indicate that the channel has been added to your favorites list.
6. Access Favorite Channels:
   • Go to the "Live TV" or "Channels" section.
   • Tap on the "Favorites" tab or filter to view your saved favorite channels.

For Smart TVs:

1. Open the JellyFin App on your Smart TV.
2. Log in using the username and password provided to you.
3. Navigate to Live TV: Use your remote to access the "Live TV" or "Channels" section from the main menu.
4. Browse Channels: Use the remote to scroll through the list of available channels.
5. Add to Favorites:
   • Select a channel to view more details.
   • Look for the "Favorite" or heart icon (♥) on the screen.
   • Use the remote to highlight and select the heart icon (♥) to mark the channel as a favorite. The icon will change to indicate the channel has been added to your favorites list.
6. Access Favorite Channels:
   • Go to the "Live TV" or "Channels" section.
   • Use the remote to select the "Favorites" tab or filter to view your saved favorite channels.

For Streaming Devices (Roku, Fire TV, Apple TV, Android Box):

1. Open the JellyFin App on your streaming device.
2. Log in using the username and password provided to you.
3. Navigate to Live TV: Use your remote to select the "Live TV" or "Channels" section from the main menu.
4. Browse Channels: Use the remote to scroll through the list of available channels.
5. Add to Favorites:
   • Use your remote to move the cursor to the left of the screen (this will highlight the channel number in blue)
   • Press and hold the select button on your remote.
   • A red heart icon (♥)on the screen on the selected channel.
   • The channel has now been added to your favorites.
6. Access Favorite Channels:
   • Go to the "Live TV" or "Channels" section.
   • Use the remote to select the "Favorites" tab or filter to view your saved favorite channels.

For Desktop/Laptop (Windows, macOS, Linux):

1. Open the JellyFin App on your desktop or laptop.
2. Log in using the username and password provided to you.
3. Navigate to Live TV: Click on the "Live TV" or "Channels" section from the main menu.
4. Browse Channels: Scroll through the list of available channels.
5. Add to Favorites:
   • Click on a channel to view more details.
   • Look for the "Favorite" or heart icon (♥) on the channel detail screen.
   • Click the heart icon (♥) to mark the channel as a favorite. The icon will change to indicate the channel has been added to your favorites list.

For Web Browsers:

1. Visit the JellyFin Website and log in using the username and password provided to you.
